- Care Worker Initial Training (Shoninsha Kenshu; formerly Home Helper Level 2)
- Care Worker Practical Training (Jitsumusha Kenshu; formerly Home Helper Level 1)
- Kaigo Fukushishi (Japan’s national certified care-worker qualification)

<Education>
- No requirement
- Inexperienced applicants welcome

<Age restriction>
- From 18 up to 64 years of age (because the retirement age is 65)
- After 22:00, only persons aged 18 or over are permitted (prohibition of late-night work by minors under the Labor Standards Act)
